Athena, the mother
of wisdom and war,
won’t settle for less,

the perfect balance
of beauty and rage,
of war and grace,
if you can’t handle
the weight I gain
in knowledge and faith
and the life I create,
if you can’t handle
the gravity of my worth,
the insanity I birth,
my inhuman thirst
to put myself first,
if you can’t handle
all these curves
serving a purpose
beyond being
your pincushion,
if you can’t handle
all this woman,
you don’t deserve her.
