but here I am,
s i n k i n g
into the abyss.
on my toes
in the deep end,
you overtake me
s l o w l y
then all at once.
you creeped up my neck,
seeped across my deck,
I never saw you
c o m i n g
until the water filled my head
with your lies and you left me
t o d i e.
i gaze into the blue,
trying to swim back to you,
but I am
a n c h o r e d
to the ocean floor.
buried at sea,
I can’t feel your
t o u c h
anymore.
