Pinch me, I must be dreaming. My fifth book (and my first ever chapbook) debuted at NUMBER ONE in its first category...
...and at number FIVE in its second category, which also happens to be one of THE most competitive poetry categories on Amazon!!!

I spent the entirety of last night in complete shock. I think I still am in shock, tbh... I put it in this category based on a suggestion from one of its first readers/editors. "There's a lot of emotional turmoil, it almost sounds like it's and internal and external battle. Maybe you should find a mental health/self-help category that reflects that." So, that's what I did. I went back and forth about it because a lot of the books in it are self-help, trauma workbooks, etc., and I didn't want to put it in the wrong one. I don't think its a very competitive/popular category, so a part of me keeps bombarding my excitement with those self-hating thoughts like "it's not that big of a deal," "don't think so highly of yourself," "you're doing it all wrong," etc.
But... it's still in a number one spot. For a completely self-published poet... that's a huge feat in and of itself. And after all this time, I'm taking it as a huge win, no matter how little it is.
I just want to say a special THANK YOU to every single person that has preordered, shared, purchased, read, followed, liked, or S/O'd my work in ANY way. It's all because of you guys that I am where I am. I don't have the biggest "following" or "fan base", like I know I'm not the most popular. But you guys make me feel so special and like my poems really make an impact. And that's all I want them to do... help someone else like they help me.
I feel like this little book is going places, y'all.
